Gig with Robin Auld
Hi! I am playing with Robin Auld in London on 08.06.07. Robin Auld is one of the most succesfull South African singer songwriters and this is a rare treat to see him in a small setting in London.

Two new records released
I am pleased to tell that there are two new records out that I am on.

I'm finally updating the site, its been too long. I'm very
busy playing around London, live and in studios. Also I have

09/02/05 Kari drumming on a UK top 40 hit
Wedding
Present single "I'm from further North than you"
enters the official UK singles chart at 34 making it the
first "top 40 hit" that Kari plays on.

27/11/2004 Kari is currently playing in a Theatre production
in
Stratford Royal theatre.
The
Music is written by Delroy Murray and has a strong funk/rnb/reggae
vibe to it.
Last day for Kari on the drum chair is 18th of
December.

28/10/04: Kari on the new Wedding Present single
The wedding present single "interstate 5" is out
in the UK on 8th of November. Go and by it and help it chart!!!

08/09/04: Cinerama on BBC
Kari ia appearing with Cinerama on the John Peel Show at BBC
Radio 1 on 21st of September at 11pm. This is a broadcast
of five songs that were recorded at BBC Maida Vale earlier
this summer. |
05/08/04: 'Release the Beat'
Kari is currently doing a ten day run playing in a
hiphop/house/drum n bass influenced musical " release
the beat" in Arcola theatre in london. Last date for
Kari in the drum chair is 14th of August. This musical is
getting great revievs everywhere in the English press!! ...

01/06/04: Dates in Soho for June
Kari will be playing at Mezzos in Soho (100 Wardour St) on
4th, 5th, 25th and 26th. This a covers gig with some GREAT
musicians playing classic soul funk and disco tunes for the
people on the dancefloor! It starts at 9pm and is free to
get in until 10.30.
25/05/04:
Kari in Portugal in July
Cinerama
has been confirmed to appear on the Dragon Festival in Porto
Portugal on the 16th of July. This is a three day festival,
with Cinerama playing on the first day. Other acts appearing:
David Bowie, Iggy and the Stooges, The Charlatans, The Darkness
etc...
20/05/04: New records with Kari on drums
Avoidance
of Doubt are releasing their dubut album on TB records in
UK on the 1st of June. Kari apperas on every track on the
album.

Kari recording in Seattle this week
Kari is back in the studio with Cinerama recording the follow
up for "Torino"
The band is currntly at Robert Lang studios in Seattle with
great Steve Fisk producing.
20/04/04:
Kari on new Cinerama DVD
Cinerama
have released a DVD "rockumentary" of their tour
promoting the Torino CD in the summer of 2002.
Theres
a lot of live footage of the band as well as "behind
the scenes" type of material too...
