Northern Europe’s grooviest organ/drum duo
First release dropping worldwide in Autumn 2020
The Two2’s is made up of Risto Kumpulainen and Kari Paavola, two long-established music makers both with strong international careers.
The Two2’s brings you deep grooves, blistering improvisations and awesome hooks and melodies, all in the jazz-funk vain — both original music and crazy funkyfied covers of pop classics.
The band is currently writing their first release due in Autumn 2020, which will be followed by a tour around Europe’s jazz and funk clubs.
The album will include international recognised guest jazz stars, bringing extra flava to Kari and Risto’s music.
The Musicians
Risto has worked with everyone on the Finnish scene, including Eero Raittinen and Knucklebone Oscar, with whom Risto has played all over the world.
Kari has a 20+ year career in music. He has worked in venues across Europe and USA with artists including Womack and Womack, Tasha Taylor, Vanessa Haynes, The Wedding Present, Cinerama, Geno Washington, The Filthy Six, Xantone Blacq and many, many more.
